The 12.5mm x 1200mm x 2400mm Sound Plasterboard (Tapered Edge) is an acoustic gypsum board specifically designed to reduce noise transmission through internal partition walls, timber joist ceilings, and separating party walls. Formulated with a high-density, aerated gypsum core, this 12.5mm board effectively dampens airborne sound, providing enhanced acoustic privacy for residential, commercial, and multi-occupancy applications.
 
Featuring a signature blue paper face for rapid identification on-site, the board is engineered with tapered longitudinal edges. This profile allows for smooth jointing and taping (using setting-type joint fillers and air-drying joint cements) to achieve a seamless, flush finish, while remaining fully compatible with a full skim coat of plaster if preferred.
