The 12.5mm x 1200mm x 2400mm Vapour Foil Faced Plasterboard (Square Edge) is a high-performance duplex gypsum board engineered to provide effective vapor resistance alongside internal wall and ceiling lining functionality. Featuring a metallized polyester foil backing laminated to the reverse side of the gypsum core, it acts as a vapor control layer (VCL) that prevents warm, moist interior air from migrating into the structural cavity, reducing the risk of interstitial condensation.
 
Designed with a standard paper front face, this board provides an ideal substrate for a full wet plaster skim coat (such as Thistle Multi Finish). It is widely specified for external timber-frame wall linings, loft conversions, uninsulated roof pitches, and garage conversions where moisture control is required.
 
Supplied in the standard 8ft x 4ft sheet size (2400mm x 1200mm) covering 2.88m², it enables rapid coverage across large wall spans and ceiling runs. The square edge (SE) profile ensures tight-fitting butt joints designed for direct plaster skim coating or textured finishes over internal timber and metal studs.
