The 12.5mm x 1200mm x 2400mm Fire Plasterboard (Square Edge) is a high-density, fire-resistant gypsum board designed to provide essential fire integrity and structural protection for internal walls, ceiling linings, and structural steel encasement systems. Formulated with a specialized core containing glass fiber reinforcements and non-combustible additives, it maintains its core strength under extreme temperatures to retard the spread of fire and smoke.
 
Featuring a signature pink paper face for fast, unambiguous identification during building control inspections, this board meets fire performance standards (Type F to BS EN 520). The square longitudinal edges are specifically designed for direct wet plaster skim-coating (using Thistle Multi Finish or Board Finish), yielding a smooth, continuous surface ready for decoration.
 
Supplied in the standard 8ft x 4ft sheet size (2400mm x 1200mm), it offers efficient, high-volume coverage across large wall spans and ceiling runs, reducing overall jointing requirements. It provides up to 30 minutes of fire resistance in single-layer stud partition builds, or higher protection ratings when integrated into certified multi-layer commercial and residential drywall assemblies.
