How do I open or lift a recessed cover once it is filled?

Recessed covers include dedicated lifting keyholes (often hidden under removable plastic caps). You insert compatible lifting keys into these slots to pull the cover up safely without damaging the surrounding floor.

Do I need to apply grease to the double seal?

Yes, for many traditional double seal covers, applying a thick layer of silicone grease or petroleum jelly into the sealing grooves creates an airtight, watertight barrier and prevents the metal parts from seizing over time.
