2.4m Plaster Thin Coat Angle Bead
The 2.4m Plaster Thin Coat Angle Bead is a precision-engineered drywall accessory designed to reinforce and protect 90-degree external corners on plasterboard walls and ceilings. Specially designed with low-profile perforated wings, it allows for a seamless finish when applying skim-coat and thin-coat plasters without creating unnecessary bulk at the edges.
Manufactured from high-grade galvanized steel, this angle bead provides high impact resistance against everyday knocks and scuffs, preventing cracking and chipping on vulnerable corners. The fine-mesh wings ensure maximum adhesion and mechanical keying for thin-coat skim plasters, allowing the compound to feather out smoothly onto the plasterboard surface.
Supplied in a standard 2.4-meter length, it is ideally dimensioned for standard ceiling heights and door reveals, significantly reducing cutting time and material waste on-site. It is specifically intended for internal board finish systems, plasterboard jointing, and multi-finish skim coat applications.
Thin Coat Bead (25mm wing, 3mm plaster depth)
- Designed for use with one coat plaster work down to a 3mm finish.
- Perforated wings to provide an excellent plastering key.
Installation:
Installation usually achieved by pressing the wings firmly into plaster dabs placed at approximately 600mm centres both sides of the arris. The wings may alternatively be embedded into the first coat of plaster for normal two-coat work.
Beads may be cut to size as required by using a hacksaw and snips. Beads should be stored off the ground and in dry conditions during site work.
