Yes. Store the trim flat inside the room where it will be installed for 3 to 5 days prior to fitting. This allows the timber to adjust to the ambient temperature and humidity, preventing joint separation or movement after fixing.

How do I fix quadrant moulding along skirting boards when installing flooring?

Secure the moulding directly to the wall or skirting board using fine lost-head pins, headless brads, or a high-grab adhesive. Never fix it to the floor, as the floor needs space beneath the trim to expand and contract freely.

How do I join quadrant moulding pieces at corners?

Use a fine-toothed hand saw with a mitre box or a compound mitre saw. Cut matching 45-degree mitre joints for both internal and external 90-degree corners. Use a small amount of wood glue at the corner joint for added strength.

How should unfinished Ramin quadrant be prepared for a final finish?

Lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper (180–240 grit). Wipe away dust, then apply a timber primer followed by your topcoat paint, or use a clear wood stain, oil, or varnish to showcase the natural hardwood grain.
