Do I need a separate grate for the corner unit?

Can the corner unit connect to underground pipes?

Yes. Like the standard channels, ACO corner units often include bottom or side knockout points so you can attach a vertical outlet or connect directly to standard 110mm drainage pipework if needed.

How do I install a corner unit securely in a paved area?

Bed the corner unit firmly on a compacted base of sharp sand and cement or lean-mix concrete, making sure it sits level with the surrounding patio or driveway blocks and at least 150mm below the damp-proof course (DPC) of any adjacent walls.

How do I clean and maintain the corner drainage joint?

Simply lift out the removable plastic corner grate periodically. Use a trowel or scoop to remove any silt or leaves that have settled in the bend, then flush the junction clean with a garden hose.

Can corner units be used to create T-junctions or four-way intersections?

While corner units are specifically engineered for 90-degree turns, ACO drainage systems accommodate T-junctions and multi-directional runs using universal sump units, multi-outlet connectors, or custom-cut channel intersections.
