• Surface Water Management: Collects rainwater from patios, courtyards, paths, and other hard-standing areas to protect building foundations from dampness and water pooling.

• Medium-Duty Vehicular Areas: Fitted with a robust galvanised steel grating, making it durable enough to handle everyday domestic vehicle traffic (such as cars and light vans) as well as regular foot traffic.

• Preventing Water Ingress: Directs collected water safely away toward a designated soakaway, storm drain, or water harvesting system, keeping pathways dry and safe.

How do I connect RainDrain channels to underground pipework?

RainDrain channels feature dedicated knockout sections (typically on the underside or ends) that can be removed to attach vertical or horizontal outlet connectors, linking the system directly into standard 110mm underground drainage pipes.

How do I maintain and clean the galvanised grating channels?

Periodically unscrew or unclip the galvanised steel grates, lift them out, and remove any accumulated leaves, silt, or debris from the channel base using a small trowel or brush. Flush the run through with a hose before replacing the grates.

Can RainDrain be installed flush with block paving or concrete?

Yes. The channel is designed to be installed flush with the surrounding surface finish (paving blocks, asphalt, or concrete). Ensure the top edge of the grating sits 3mm to 6mm below the finished surface level so water drains in easily without creating a trip hazard.
