How do I create a random cobble pattern with different sizes?

To achieve a traditional, non-uniform layout, mix the small, medium, and large blocks in a 3:2:1 ratio (or laying ratio specified by the project plan). Always draw blocks randomly from 3 to 5 different packs during installation to ensure an even distribution of shades and sizes across the area.

Is a 60mm thickness suitable for a driveway?

Yes. 60mm Woburn Rumbled blocks are specifically engineered to support standard domestic vehicular traffic and driveways as well as footpaths and patios.

What makes "rumbled" block paving different from standard block paving?

Standard block paving (like Europa) has crisp, straight edges and smooth faces. Rumbled paving is tumbled in a drum during manufacturing to intentionally break off sharp edges, create softened corners, and add surface texture, giving it a weathered, historic cobble appearance.

What type of jointing sand should I use with Woburn Rumbled?

Use standard kiln-dried jointing sand brushed thoroughly into the joints after laying. Because rumbled blocks have slightly wider, irregular joints, ensure all gaps are completely filled before compacting with a wacker plate fitted with a rubber mat (to prevent scuffing the textured surface).
