How do I mix and apply Rugby Post Fix Concrete?
No mechanical mixing or bucket mixing is required. Dig your hole, position the post, fill the hole one-third full with clean water, and pour the dry post fix powder directly around the post until no standing water remains visible. Lightly tamp the surface to remove air pockets.
How fast does it set?
It begins to set in 5 to 10 minutes under normal conditions. The post will be self-supporting within 1020 minutes, and the mix achieves full strength within 24 hours.
How many 20kg bags do I need per fence post?
-
Standard fence post (75mm x 75mm): 1 bag per post (for standard 2-foot deep holes).
-
Heavy-duty / gate post (100mm x 100mm): 2 bags per post for extra stability.
Can I use this for load-bearing building foundations or structural footings?
No. Post fix concrete is formulated strictly for anchoring non-structural posts into soil. It is not suitable for load-bearing building foundations, slab bases, or structural brickwork footingsuse standard structural concrete or C30 mix for those applications.
Does the packaging protect it from rain?
Rugby Post Fix comes in weatherproof plastic packaging, allowing you to store bags outdoors on-site without the contents hardening prior to opening.
