The Plasson Universal Adaptor Copper 7896 (25mm x 22mm) is a specialized transition fitting designed to securely join a 25mm metric MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) water supply pipe directly to a 22mm copper pipe using universal clamping technology. It is widely utilized by plumbing, heating, and utility professionals during property renovations, maintenance tasks, or service upgrades where modern plastic water mains must interface seamlessly with existing copper internal pipework.

Manufactured from high-grade virgin polypropylene combined with a corrosion-resistant metal or DZR brass transition interface, this adaptor provides exceptional impact strength, environmental stress resistance, and complete immunity to rust. The universal compression end is engineered to accommodate slight variations in pipe outer diameters and materials, incorporating robust internal gripping components and captive O-ring seals to ensure a firm mechanical hold and prevent tube pull-out under operational pressure.

Engineered for rapid and straightforward installation on site, the fitting allows technicians to connect differing pipe materials without requiring specialized welding, brazing, or complex conversion kits. Fully WRAS-approved for wholesome potable water and rated for high working pressures up to 16 bar (PN16), this trade-quality universal adaptor delivers dependable performance and a long-term, leak-free seal across mixed-material water networks.
