Paving
Natural
stone paving is available in many different types,
but not all are adequately durable for the British
climate, or produced with sufficient consistency.
Stonemarket
have carefully selected six attractive and hard-wearing
varieties for the Trustone range. Glenmoor, Fieldland,
Sandwold and Fellside are quartzitic sandstone;
Cotsdale and Torvale are dolomitic limestone.
Trustone
is fully tested as suitable for outdoor use, conservatories,
halls and kitchen floors.
We
recommend the application of a proprietary sealer
or wax when used indoors, to make cleaning easier.
Each
type of Trustone is available in eight co-ordinating
sizes, which makes it easy to produce authentic
random layouts as shown in our design guide.
Torvale
paving has sawn edges. The other five Trustone
varieties are accurately hand dressed back from
the selected face. This means they should
be laid with the larger face uppermost.
We
recommend that you view several slabs at your
local stockist to appreciate the range of differences
that occur.
When
laying Trustone, it is important to use the full
mortar bed method and ensure the whole back of
each paver is in contact with the mortar. This
will promote the even weathering of the paving
and help to fix it firmly. We recommend adding
PVA solution to the bedding mortar to improve
the fixing.
Each
type of stone is available in four co-ordinating
sizes and accurately hand-dressed to consistent
dimensions, except for Torvale, which has clean-cut
sawn edges.
