The PIR foam core, aluminium foil faced boards can achieve required thermal standards without radical changes to construction methods and more importantly without risking a subsequent deterioration of the structure owing to the effects of roof-space condensation.

The advantages are as follows:

• with a thermal conductivity of 0.020-0.023 W/mK rigid phenolic insulation is the most thermally efficient insulation product commonly available
• utilises the thinnest possible insulation board to achieve required U-values
• achieves a Class O fire rating to the Building Regulations / low risk;
• its closed cell structure resists both moisture and water vapour ingress - problems which can be associated with open cell materials such as mineral fibre and which can result in reduced thermal performance

Mineral Wool Loft Insulation Roll

Loft Roll is an unfaced glass mineral wool roll which is lightweight, flexible, resilient and non-combustible. Loft Roll is supplied in polythene packs.

For the provision of thermal and acoustic insulation in new build lofts and also loft conversions. Loft Roll 40 is available in thicknesses to suit current Building Regulations and is 1160mm wide, perforated or cut to suit both 400 and 600 roof joist centres. It has the highest achievable fire classification of A1.

Mineral Wool Cavity Batts Slab Insulation

DriTherm Cavity Slabs are semi-rigid or rigid slabs of non-combustible, glass mineral wool with a water-repellent additive. They are 455mm wide to suit standard vertical wall tie spacings, ensuring a closed joint with adjacent slabs.

DriTherm Cavity Slabs are for the thermal insulation of masonry cavity external walls, either partially filling or fully filling the cavity. They are approved for use in buildings up to 12m high in any exposure zone and for use in multi-storey applications up to 25m in height.
